The fit is true to size. This is a slouchy fit jean. It is meant to be worn on the high hip (about 1.5-2" below your true waist). It is not a high waist jean. If it fits at the high waist, you likely need the next size up. They should fit with a bit of a slouch in the crotch. The inseam hits at the ankle.
